I moved to Harpole in March 2017 and was co-opted as a Parish Councillor in December 2018. I’m enjoying village life and want to support the community where possible.
I was co-opted as a Parish Councillor in November 2017 to fill a vacancy on the Council. I am a Trustee of the Old School Hall and a member of the Management Committee. I was elected Chairman in May 2019
I sit on the Finance Committee
I chair the Strategy, Change and Engagement Committee and the Planning Committee and also sit on the Finance Committee. I am one of the Parish Council representatives at the Playing Field Association. I am also one of the Parish Council nominated Trustees of the Combined Harpole Charitable Trust.
Born and bred in Harpole, I have been a Parish Councillor for approximately 40 years. I am the local footpath warden, also a member of the Finance, Planning and Highways & Footpath committees.
Having lived in Harpole since 1978, I have been a member of Harpole Parish Council since November 2013. I am Vice Chair of the Parish Council, on the Playing Fields, Scarecrow Festival, and Youth Committees.
On leaving the RN Joined the Ambulance Service where I served for 30 years, becoming a Paramedic in 1982 I was appointed to the Magistrate’s Bench in 1988, where I served until 2010. I sit on the Highways and Footpath and Finance Committees.
Currently a member of the Community Infrastructure Committee and Churchyard Committee, I was born and bred in Harpole. My Mother’s family has lived here for centuries.
A village man who has lived in Harpole since 1943. I Trained as a Certificated Teacher at the College of St Mark and St John, Chelsea. London. On the death of my father in 1975 appointed Clerk of Harpole Charities a position held for 35 yrs.
I have worked in Town and Parish Councils in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire for the past 24 years, with a particular interest in helping communities to develop Councils that work for them, whilst gaining the best possible benefits from new developments in their area. I love gardening, reading and quizzing and hope to meet many of you around the village before too long.
I joined the Parish Council in August 2016 because I feel that I have a strong bond to the village and I am keen to play a part in helping maintain the historic character of the village.
I moved to Harpole in 2000 with my wife Tracy. I recognise, even in the past 20 years that Harpole has faced an expanding number of homes, never more so that at present. I sit on the strategy, change and engagement committee looking to preserve what we love about Harpole and grasp the opportunities for our Parish. I love walking, Birdwatching and Finance. I was co-opted onto the parish council in July 2019
